Which DiroDi Rover model is right for me? ⌄
The 250W Road-Legal models are road-legal in every state and ideal for commuting and bike paths. The 500W models give more power and are road-legal in NSW only (not road-legal in other states). The 1000W models are built for off-road and private-property use. Our Brisbane team can help you choose.
What’s the difference between the DiroDi Rover, Rover Plus, and Rover Pro? ⌄
The Rover is our no-frills option without front suspension. The Rover Plus adds front suspension, and the Rover Pro steps up to full suspension (it’s also heavier). The Plus and Pro share the same core setup (motor, wheels, brakes and battery capacity), so your choice usually comes down to how much suspension you want for your riding.
Are DiroDi Rover e-bikes road legal in Australia? ⌄
The 250W models are EN 15194 certified and road-legal in every state — 250W continuous, pedal-assist to 25 km/h, throttle limited to 6 km/h, no registration required. The 500W models are road-legal in NSW only (25 km/h cut-off, under current rules through to 1 March 2029). The 1000W models are for off-road and private-property use. E-bike rules vary by state, so check your local regulations.
Step-through or step-over: which frame should I pick? ⌄
If you’re hopping on and off a lot (commuting, errands), sharing the bike, or you just want the easiest day-to-day ride, step-through is the go-to. Step-over is still a great option, but most riders choose step-through for comfort and convenience.
How far do they go, and can I carry a passenger? ⌄
Up to 120km in pedal-assist on flat terrain (around 40–80km on hills). The Rover range is 2-person rated with a 150kg payload on models built to carry a passenger.
How are they delivered, and can they arrive fully assembled? ⌄
Yes. Choose ReadyRide at checkout and your bike arrives fully assembled and safety-tested: $69 within 150km of our West End (Brisbane) base, $399 across QLD, NSW and ACT, $499 in VIC and SA. Express and standard shipping are also available. Orders are packed and dispatched from Brisbane within 3 business days.
How long do the batteries last, and what’s the easiest way to look after them? ⌄
Our batteries are built to last 500–1000 charge cycles, which is typically 2–4 years depending on how you ride and charge. For best battery life: aim to keep charge between 20% and 80%, avoid extreme heat or cold, use the original charger, and don’t leave it plugged in long after it hits 100%.
What’s your return policy on DiroDi e-bikes? ⌄
We offer a 30-day return window. Returns need to be unused and in the original packaging, so if you’re unsure on frame style, reach out and we’ll help you choose before you order.
Can I test ride one? ⌄
Yes — visit our Brisbane showroom at 232 Montague Road, West End to test ride the range.
What warranty and support do I get? ⌄
DiroDi e-bikes carry a 2-year warranty on frame, motor, battery and electronics, backed by our Brisbane service team with spare parts in stock. Australian Consumer Law statutory guarantees also apply.
