Two airbag modules. Here's the difference.
This is what each module looks like the moment it fires, so you can see exactly what's protected before you choose.
AirRide module
Face, cervical spine, collarbones, shoulders and upper torso, the widest coverage. In the Compact AirRide and Fusion AirRide.

AirTour module
Face, cervical spine and upper body in a slimmer, lighter package, built for road riding and racing positions. In the Fusion AirTour.
Choose AirTour →One system. Three ways to wear it.
Every AIRDING uses the same sensing and airbag technology. Pick the fit and features that match how you ride.

Fusion AirRide
The widest protection zone in the range
- Adds dedicated shoulder coverage
- Full-face helmet compatible
- 2.5 L storage + certified back protector
- Commute, road, MTB, one pack

Compact AirRide
For riders who count every gram
- 850 g, just under 1 kg with the cartridge
- Face, neck, shoulder & torso coverage
- Full-face helmet compatible

Fusion AirTour
For road riders and triathletes counting grams
- 1,400 g, the lightest Fusion
- Face, neck & upper-body coverage
- 2.5 L storage + certified back protector
Every AIRDING is supplied with an inflator fitted. Keep a spare cartridge on hand so a deployment never keeps you off the bike.
Same technology. Different fit.
All three AIRDING models share identical sensing and airbag technology — 300 movement checks a second, under 150 ms to deploy. Here's what changes between them.

An airbag that thinks while you ride
Developed over a decade by German airbag engineers, the AIRDING watches how you move and acts only when it matters.
It senses
Motion sensors measure your position and acceleration 300 times every second, on every ride, in the background.
It decides
A crash-detection algorithm trained on real fall patterns tells riding, braking and bunny-hopping apart from an actual accident.
It protects
The airbag inflates in under 150 milliseconds, faster than you can react, cushioning your neck, shoulders, collarbones, chest and back.
Reusable by design
After deployment, follow MASE’s inspection and repacking instructions before using the AIRDING again.
- Refold the airbag yourself following the guide
- Fit a new inflator cartridge, tool-free
- Check the system before your next ride
- Or send it to us: inspection, refold and re-arm at no charge for the work
You pay only for the new cartridge and freight, or bring it in to West End and there's no freight at all. MASE's instruction videos are currently in German; our English versions are on the way.
Your helmet protects your skull.
What about the rest?
The AIRDING is worn alongside your bicycle helmet. Coverage and compatibility vary between airbag models, so check the details for the model you choose.

Everything people ask us
Do I still need to wear a helmet?
Yes. The AIRDING is supplementary protection worn with a bicycle helmet. Check MASE’s instructions for helmet compatibility with your chosen model.
What happens after the airbag deploys?
The AIRDING is reusable. Refold the airbag following the folding guide, fit a new inflator cartridge, and it's ready again. Or send it to us: our Brisbane inspection, refold and re-arm service carries no charge for the work, and you pay only for the new cartridge and freight. Local to Brisbane, bring it in to West End and there's no freight at all.
Will it go off by accident?
The algorithm is trained to tell normal riding, braking, kerbs and standing starts, from a genuine fall. MASE notes that no system can guarantee it detects every fall, and that deployment is possible during jumps, tricks or very atypical movements. Talk to us about your riding style at a fitting.
Can I fly with it?
Only with your airline's written approval, and you need to sort that out well before you travel. An AIRDING contains a compressed CO2 cartridge and a small pyrotechnic actuator, which makes it dangerous goods for air transport. It is not classified as an avalanche rescue backpack, and that is the category most airline dangerous goods policies are written around, so do not assume the avalanche rules apply to it. Contact your airline's dangerous goods desk at least two weeks ahead, tell them exactly what the product contains, and get the answer in writing. We can supply the manufacturer's cartridge data sheet to send them. We can't tell you how to pack it for a flight, and we won't guess. That call belongs to your carrier.
How does it ship, and can you deliver to my state?
Shipping is free Australia-wide. Every AIRDING contains a compressed gas cartridge, so it travels by road freight rather than air and cannot go through Australia Post. Allow extra transit time outside South East Queensland. If you are in WA, NT or TAS, message us before you order and we will confirm the timeframe.
How long does the battery last?
Around 25 to 30 hours of riding per charge, a fortnight of commuting for most riders. It charges over USB-C in about 2 hours, and the app shows your battery level.
Where do I find the instructions?
MASE publishes the full manual and step-by-step videos covering fitting, activation, inflator removal and refolding on their instructions page. Those videos are currently in German only. We are filming English versions for the Australian market, and in the meantime we will walk you through it in store or over a video call.
The airbag reacts faster than you can.
